Better. Every Mile.

From trucks of all shapes and sizes, to buses and specialty vehicles, Cummins is ahead of the curve in developing engines that deliver everything from better fuel economy to improved reliability and durability. Our on-highway engines from 107 – 675 HP deliver lower operating costs and improved productivity – making it easier for you to stay a step ahead of your competition.

Urban Bus & Shuttle

With a full lineup of engines providing 200 to 380 hp, whether natural gas or diesel, Cummins has the solution for your transit authority.

The B6.7, L9, and L9N manufactured at the Rocky Mount Engine Plant in North Carolina, All engines are backed by Cummins Care – the largest and most capable service and support network.

The Right Fit for Your Operation

The B6.7 is a great fit for local shuttle bus applications, For authorities looking at alternative energy, it doesn’t get better than the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) compliant L9N. For customers operating in non-attainment zones, the L9N Near-Zero (NZ) is the Smart choice and is certified to the CARB near-zero standards of .02 g NOx/bhp hr.

The Right Technology to Get the Job Done

The B6.7 leverages the Single Module Aftertreatment System, providing better thermal management, easier service, and reduced space claim for better Shuttle Bus performance and fuel economy.

The L9 will continue to use the proven Modular Aftertreatment Systems due to the severe operating conditions that urban transit buses encounter. The use of the Modular Aftertreatment System provides a larger DPF capacity to provide a higher level of reliability and durability.

With the use of Natural Gas and Stoichiometric cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation combustion, the L9N allows for the use of a maintenance free Three-Way Catalyst (TWC). This combustion uses the ideal ratio of natural gas and oxygen for the combustion, providing an oxygen free exhaust flow. The Three Way Catalyst, which is similar to catalyst on passenger cars, does not require cleaning or regeneration.

Unmatched Support

The B6.7, B6.7, L9 and L9N are all backed and supported by the largest sales and support network in North America with over 3500 locations. With new innovative features like Connected Diagnostics, your Cummins-powered transit or shuttle bus instantly provides key data surrounding any type of fault code inducing event to Cummins for immediate analysis. A notification based on the most probable cause is sent instantly to you via email or through the free Connected Diagnostics mobile app, so you know exactly what actions to take.

If you need to instantly connect with a Cummins expert, +662 301 7500 is providing a streamlined service to provide service assistance, warranty or maintenance information, and additional information that you need.

Motorhome and RV Engines

Exceptional fuel economy, low operating costs and legendary reliability make Cummins diesel engines a top choice for RVs.

Owners of Cummins-powered motorhomes enjoy peace of mind, knowing they can confidently tow a vehicle and handle steep hills. Plus, the longevity and performance of Cummins engines routinely translate to much higher resale value than comparable gasoline-powered RVs.

With engines rated from 300 hp to more than 675 hp, Cummins offers power and reliability for every type of motorhome on the market.

The most popular heavy-duty engine in North America, the X15 is capable of powering premium motorhomes of any size with up to 605 hp and 1950 lb-ft of peak torque. The X15 also has best-in-class braking horsepower, for greater vehicle control.

The X12, with up to 500 hp and 1695 lb-ft of peak torque, is the lightest engine in its class. Ideal for larger luxury motorhomes, with the highest power-to-weight ratio so you can easily accelerate on short highway on-ramps, even while towing a car, boat or trailer.

The L9 has provided 30 years of continuous improvement. The XPI fuel system enables quiet, responsive operation while replaceable wet liners, roller followers, bypass oil filtration and targeted-piston cooling result in extended life and higher resale value. The L9 has ratings ranging from 330-450 hp with up to 1250 lb-ft of peak torque.

The B6.7 features a High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel injection system that enables multiple injection events per cycle, for cleaner, quieter and more complete combustion. The proprietary VGT™ Turbocharger delivers strong throttle response and dependability while Cummins fully integrated engine and aftertreatment system ensure near-zero emissions.
